Some Facts:

• 2 million children die each year from drinking dirty water
• 1.2 billion people have no access to safe drinking water and
• the UN millennium target is to halve this number by the year 2015.

Why are we doing this?

The project is an act of solidarity with those who suffer and gain a glimpse of what it must be like for those who do not have clean water. It will also help to show those around us that we care, and an opportunity to strengthen our prayer to God for them.
We also hope to make that first cup of tea or coffee on the 7th June feel great!

Who is taking part?

Taking part in the project with the Ashley are parish schools and parishes from around the country. You can too by signing up to the project. Simply, down load the sign up form and return it to the address at the botom of the form.

Our Aim

Our focus is on the G8 summit 2007 at Heiligendamm in Germany from 3rd to 6th June and our Water4all day has been chosen to coincide with the end of the meeting on 6th June. Over the past two years
over 17,000 people have joined with us and helped to continue to raise awareness that 1.2 billion people in the world have no clean water and that someone dies every three seconds from diseases due to unclean water.
